[Angelic Beatdown (Amen)]

an emotional piece here. i felt a heavy vibe from the track by how it was produced. very old school feel. alot of the choices made in the track do a good job at propelling the listener towards the meaning i feel people will find within it. i enjoyed the little speech at the end aswell,i thought that was a nice touch,although it was sort of hard to hear on some words and phrases.perhaps a bit of eq would have made it more clear.mixing wise i felt a sense of unity with the drums as if they were played in the same room,however i felt that they could have been brought out a little more in the top end for some sheen.

overall good listen

I purposefully EQ'd the highs in the drums out to give them more crunch.

Get that Boom Bap sound going.

The speech is filtered a bit.

When I tried to make it stand out more I made it worse, so I just made it as loud as I could without drowning out the other elements.

The passing cars going down the street that the speaker was on didn't help either.

man i love your work,every time but i do agree the kick is missing that thwack! and the voice is hard to understand but besides that its a really awesome track man.right on.

I've been using the same kick over and over for the past few songs. The Thwack sound your describing is the Tok, the punch. I know it's lacking it I'm just having a hell of a time trying to create a good tok. Thanks for the feedback! =) always appreciate it

entertaining! to me this sounds nothing like dubstep,but thats not a bad thing.i think you should try and make whatever you feel comfortable making and explore beyond the boundaries of the music genres.the second half of the song came together well i felt but i would recommend making the drums a bit louder and try mastering your synths so they dont over power the other instruments. anyways good music making,peace.

Yeah, its not dubstep, the beat (kick and snare) is, but the rest certainly isn't. And yeah, I don't know how to master, I knew the instruments conflicted some but those were the only ones I had with the sound I wanted considering I use the demo. Thanks for the review! Love your music man.

yo, this track is great but not amazing.not in a bad way though.its really repetitive but to me that doesn't make a track good or bad(i mean have you heard whats on the radio?)anyways the drums are pretty boring but they sound amazing.maybe try changing the pattern to change the mood or add to the structure.all the sounds in my opinion sounded great but the track has no flare.its a chill track though dont get me wrong but nothing in it just pulls my attention. i think its a great start,its relaxing and maybe with some more time it could be really effective at getting peoples attention.

i like where your going with this so definitely keep it up,for real!

really nice synths,crispy i liked the track but the drums were kind of muffled,also the song just kind of goes everywhere as if it had no core structure.at 2:33 i did like that breakdown.although it sounds everywhere from time to time its a nice piece and fun to listen to. ever want to talk music,hit me up!

nice,but a little off to me.not sure if u wanted it to be like that but the bass and the kick were being played on the same beat,try playing the bass after the kick to get that unce unce unce feel. the melody is pretty nice and the quality isn't that bad. decent job overall.

Thanks so much! And yea I know... I wish it was longer too baha! I spent a lot of time trying to get the roughness and low frequencies balanced in my bass. Probably almost 1 of the 5 hours apend on that alone :P
